As the phrase goes, Robert Stacy McCain reads the founding documents of contemporary feminism so you don’t have to. Sex Trouble began as a series of essays on McCain’s popular blog, motivated, I’m guessing, by his belief that were he to attack feminism at its core, he should be familiar with the literature which comprises that core. And having read that literature, he is not impressed. McCain’s willingness to engage with individual feminists got him banned from Twitter; he remains undaunted.
