Review

Okay, maybe it was more orange than golden. But there was a time when Nickelodeon was coming up with some seriously great shows that dared to take kids seriously. (I admit to watching You Can’t Do That on Television, Roundhouse and Clarissa Explains It All, and I wasn’t even a kid. The chronicle covers everything you wanted to know — even the Ren & Stimpy debacle, discussed by many, including John K. himself — and discloses a few things you might not have realized. (Who knew that Paris Hilton was a fan of Hey Dude? If they had managed to talk Alanis Morissette into coming — she did a few episodes of YCDTOTV — this book would have been just about perfect. Still, this is plenty close enough to suit fans of the greatest Nick shows.
