Honestly, if we could generate electricity using umbrage, we’d achieve energy independence in a millisecond.

If we could generate electricity using umbrage, the resulting surplus charge would intensify the Van Allen Belt so much the astronauts on the ISS would be cooked, and we’d lose all of our satellites as well as contact with all deep-space probes. Forget big-city light pollution, the bright-green night sky would put observatories out of business everywhere.

On the bright side, delicate electronics would all short out as soon as they were activated, and social media would be a thing of the past. Which would end the umbrage-as-fuel experiment in half a nanosecond.

They took all my umbrage and didn’t leave any for me!
