The “EL” logo in the corner represents Economics Laboratory, Inc., which also produced a home dishwasher product called Electrasol. (Electrasol was eventually renamed “Finish”; after several mergers, Finish is now part of the giant Reckitt Benckiser group.)

Choice comment comes from Gerard Van der Leun, who ran this picture with the caption: “For when you’re out of Solid Trump.” Well done, sir.

    Gas Trump.

Plasma (? is that still considered a state of matter) Trump.

I don’t remember the last time I saw the Electrasol brand name, but it doesn’t seem all that long ago.

As for Trump, the question of what state of matter he is, is academic. One visit to a pro-Trump Twitter thread will quickly disabuse one and all of the notion that his state matters to anybody.

also, it seems his state is fairly changeable, or at least based on what he says now vs. what he said a couple years ago.
