This morning’s instructional

A decade or so ago, I put out a threadbare little template for those who wanted to post the way I do, which turned out to be no one at all. The idea, however, has been steadily improved upon, and the current state of the art, I think, is in Jennifer’s “Eye Catching Title Referencing Something Controversial,” which offers not only a better title but the potential for actual controversy, something de rigueur in this age of fifty million blogs chasing the same ten million clicks.

(Oh, and read the comments. They’re actually in the spirit of the thing, for once.)

For once, the comments are the best part

First & last – time comment: advice to the blogger to rephrase her tagline to fix duplicates (“…events…events”) and reverse to a normal font size, suitable for PC, not darn sillyphones

Thank you! I have changed the tagline, but I’m not able to recreate your font issue. It displays is set up to scale with the display

Hey, blogger responds! That was not scripted per intent.
Sillyphone interface annoys PC-readers not so much with the font size as with their difference in pts between text body and titles. And the wasteful dessert of white space.

Congrats on capturing attention of so many in the thread; it’s a rare fit this days

    It should’ve been “desert”!

    Mmm. Dessert…
Ah! I went with the standard from the layout. You shouldn’t be seeing the phone interface from a PC. I’ll have to tweak when I’ve got time. Thanks again.
    (I’m terrible at following scripts)
