To those emerging from darkness

Smitty has advice. He who has ears, let him hear:

[T]o all of the new Tea Party folks, let me pass on a warning: the two ears, one mouth rule applies. There is much to learn about the sordid realities of our government, as it’s deviated well off course. Relax. Focus the passion on sober, positive deeds that advance the Constitutional ball. Screaming about Barack Obama’s Martian birth certificate and obvious status as a High Priest of Cthulhu is ONLY ABETTING HIM.

I have no idea if mentioning Doug Mataconis, who is cited in Smitty’s post title, will cause him to suddenly materialize, in the manner of Kibo or Dave Sifry or even Conor Friedersdorf, but we shall see.

“Firefox can’t find the server” @your link to Smitty.
    Has it started?

If it has, it’s finished already.

Smitty has it right. Work for the possible, even when it seems impossible. For instance, abolish the IRS.

Seeing as I apparently derped something on my federal form, and now am being asked to fill out an even more confusing form (and yes, there were tears), I’m with Mr. Stanley.

    FJ, I concur, re IRS!
Sent my form last week in March; still no refund. Today’s conversation with a live somebody @IRS concluded: for reasons too boring to explain here, I might wait for my refund for another 16 weeks!

Smitty is right. I have my doubts, based on how fragmented the “conservative movement” is. Can everyone stick with the program that long in this age of short attention span?

Jeff, and what IS the program? It seems everyone in the “movement” has their own. I agree with Doug Mataconis here.
