Christine sixteen

Correction: This is Christine sixty. Actually, it’s Christine Baranski, and nobody seemed to like this odd-but-shiny Rubin Singer dress she wore to the Emmys.

Christine Baranski at 2012 Emmy Awards

Okay, Jessica of the Fug Girls gives it thumbs up:

This is surprisingly leggy for Christine. I kind of love it on her, just because it’s such a change. And because it makes her look like she’s about to burst into a vigorous tap routine, which I always appreciate.

And who doesn’t love a sexagenarian (sorry) tap dancer?

I adored this dress… on Christine, not me; I haven’t got the figure for such things… but I love the impressionistic abstract colors, and I love that the neckline is not some plunging, gratuitous, boob-baring thing. Not that those don’t have their place. But lately it seems like that’s a given, and I’d just as soon it be the occasional dessert topping rather than the ubiquitous thing it is now.

And of Baranski, well, let’s just say that I’m a fan.

I see nothing wrong with the dress. She can totally pull it off. I think it takes a tall person to be able to wear that style/degree of embellishment. I’m surprised people criticized the choice.

I’m also somewhat of a fan, though it’s been a while since I saw anything she was in.

Last I heard, La Baranski was about five-ten, which seems plenty tall, considering the tallest woman I ever met was six-two.

Those are not knees of a 60yo!
Ok, yes, I know, they are. She totally should show them – it’s now or never! I mean, a measly 5-7 yrs – and she’d look rather pitiful in that dress and those lashes…
