Post-cute?

There is, I suppose, a chronological cutoff point, an age beyond which you’re no longer considered “cute,” though I have no idea what that age ought to be, or even if it should be pinned down at all.

That said, I wandered into an anime/drama message board and found a topic entitled “Celebrities that are naturally cute,” which intrigued me enough to drill down three or four pages, landing eventually on Ariel Lin:

Ariel Lin

Maybe it’s the dress, maybe it’s the smile, but I am perilously close to Adorable Overload here. And she’s twenty-eight today, so maybe she hasn’t outgrown the term just yet. Besides, she has her own wiki, which for some reason it didn’t occur to me to expect from a Taiwanese actress, even one this manifestly bubbly, let alone one who starred in a drama series called Love or Bread.

Maybe that’s the secret: retention of baby-facedness.
